What happened with your weather in the past week or so? In this past week we have had unusually cold weather and today we actually had sleet!

The weather in Daytona Beach, FL USA on March 17, 2010
Celsius: 13 degrees
Fahrenheit: 53 degrees

Precipitation: We have a fifty percent chance of rain today. Mostly showers.

Sun rose: 7:32 am
Sun set: 7:34 pm

Story:We went outside today to take our class picture and it was chilly so we wore our jackets. When we talked, we could see our breath in the air. Then, after much fussing, we took our class picture. We found seed pods. We also found raccoon scat and a hairball in front of the school. It was a little foggy. We also took the time to look at the bird houses in front of the school. Our shoes got wet from the dew and the wet shoes picked up dirt and grass. We also saw many ant piles and dead plants.

Tell about a stereotype about your country/area. Can you tell us what parts are true or what parts are false? We have famous beaches and a famous racetrack, where the Daytona 500 is held. A lot of people think that it is always hot and sunny and never cold here in Central Florida. However, that is not always true. We have had a very cold winter and we are waiting for it to finally warm up. The weather has been changing up a little bit--we have had less sun and more rain. Luckily, the weather is supposed to be good this weekend!
