March came in like a LAMB! The temperature was 73 degrees. The normal temperature for that date is 51.

Here are some pictures taken by the third grade students on Monday, March 5. There will be more on Thursday when the other third grade class is able to get outside for a photograph session. We did not want to come back inside as it is 67 degrees right now.

The temperature was warm and sunny on March 1. We finished reading the book On the Same Day in March - it was like a light bulb went off when we finished as several said, "So it COULD be like the book in those places on the very same day?!"

Tell about a stereotype about your country/area. Can you tell us what parts are true or what parts are false?
Arkansas has several regions. We are in the northwest corner of the state. There are hills (we call them mountains) lakes and rivers. A stereotype would be that it is very hot all of the time. Fayetteville sees all four seasons.
Another stereotype would be that all of the people are farmers. We are home to the University of Arkansas and are just a few miles from the home of Tyson Chicken and WalMart. There are farms, but most people live in town.

What happened with your weather in the past week or so? It has been chilly but not really cold. We are tracking the weather to predict which day next week (January 30 - February3) will be the coldest and which the warmest. We will keep you posted!
